CMSolutions, LLC, began as Comprehensive Manufacturing Solutions, an engineering consulting firm, in 1994. CMS, as we became known, developed all of the "tools" manufacturing organizations needed for optimal efficiency, including streamlined plant layouts, assembly and test fixtures, process flows and assembly instructions.

While setting up a production facility for a large networking equipment customer, we observed the enormous resources devoted to installing and removing the loopback cables used in production testing of the equipment. Realizing that a device allowing simultaneous installation of multiple cables would produce dramatic labor savings, CMS developed its first "Loopback Array." The results were extraordinary. Not only did the devices save the company over one million dollars per year on that one production line alone, they also significantly reduced the formerly high rate of test failures due to improperly installed cables.

Overnight, CMSolutions' Loopback Arrays became an industry standard. It is estimated that more than one third of the ports shipped by US companies this year will have been tested using CMSolutions' Loopback brand cable arrays.
